So Long, Superman – A Calming Musical Interlude #5

On the ol’ Pioneer LazerDisc jukebox at the pub I haunted back in ’94 or so, Interstate Love Song was a staple on the 3 tunes for 2 bucks deal.  And my introduction to Stone Temple Pilots, or Pone Stemple Tilots, as they sometimes were drunkenly referenced.  Many a Kahlua & milk or Jim Beam & cola or whatever horrific beverage I was on were downed and enjoyed with this as backing music…   Likewise, mirth aplenty is remembered in connection to Sour Girl.  Buffy, Sarah Michelle, scary rabbit costumes, the 90’s, whatever…     It all got a bit … Continue reading So Long, Superman – A Calming Musical Interlude #5

A Prayer For Commuters – Updated With Fresh Road-Rage!

From my Twitter, my little prayer (even though I don’t pray, unless I’m tripping) for me and anyone else risking their lives daily just to get to and from work inside a motor vehicle. And so castles made of sand, melt into the sea, … Continue reading Trippin’ In Paradise

Arrival

Once through the maze of partitions, I was met by the Doctor’s apprentice and escorted to a waiting car. The drive avoided the metropolitan sprawl completely and we ascended from near sea-level farming land into wooded hinterland and then along winding mountain roads.  What could have been a very relaxing ride was actually more like a rally drive – being lurched around the cabin … Continue reading Arrival
